Our first Navajo Pastor's Conference held on May 5, 2018 in Gallup, NM at the Hilton Garden Inn was a great success! We had 22 pastors in attendance. After introductions by all, the morning session focused on the spiritual problems facing churches and pastors in the Navajo Nation. It was productive with many insights brought forth with possible future ministry opportunities identified. The afternoon session entitled "Biblical Counseling Model" gave a framework that can be used for pastoral counseling. It was well received by all.
On Sunday, May 6, I had the honor of speaking at the Gallup Church of God pastored by Bishop Harry L. Begay. This is the only Navajo Church within the Gallup city limits.

Plans are underway to return to the Navajo Nation in July 2018, along with the mission team from the Church of Grace and Peace from Toms River, NJ. We will be working with the Summit Training Post (STP) ministry, led by Pastor Lois Hutchinson. STP is located in St. Michaels, AZ, which is in the Navajo Nation.
